Dear Friend,
Why do a TED or TEDx Talk?
Because when you give a really good TED or TEDx talk, it’s not uncommon for the video of your talk to go viral and be seen by millions of people all around the world.
Imagine someone being referred to you and the first thing they find out about you is you’re a TED or TEDx speaker.
That’s credibility!
In November 2019, I gave a TEDx Talk myself called What Makes Love Last.
It was a journey of expensive learning and testing things before I got my chance.
They didn't give me a year or even 60 days to prepare my speech.
I had just 30 days from acceptance to stage.
I was so grateful I did the pre-work needed to make a great talk that reached over 100,000 views in just the first week!
But there are others who are asked to deliver a talk but are not ready. They didn't do the pre-work necessary to be successful.
I saw them writing and rewriting their talk just a few hours before they were supposed to speak.
It's no surprise that their talk did not go well.
